Dear Agroecology Europe colleagues and friends,
You are about to use OASIS - the Original Agroecological Survey and Indicator System, an indicator system developed by Agroecology Europe to assess where a farm is on the trajectory of transition towards agroecology.
This online assessment tool allows the necessary data to be collected in a one-hour self-assessment process on 88 indicators covering 5 dimensions: (i) Agroecological farming practices (ii) Economic viability, (iii) Socio-political aspects (iv) Environment and biodiversity and (v) Resilience.
For each of the 88 indicators, you can self-assess your practices on a scale of 1 to 5 - for each of which captions are provided. The scale 1 represents conventional practices and 5 represents a higher degree of agroecology.
You can return to the form at any point and leave the indicators empty if they are not relevant. Once the form has been completed, the tool will generate radar charts that will allow you to visualise the degree of agroecology on your farm. You can then download your report with your radar charts.
